Rainbow Yogis

My home has been turned upside for the last week.  Over the summer, we received a ton of rain in Prescott.  It was a great help with the severe drought we were in, but it did a lot of damage because we have a flat roof.  Last week, we had to have the ceiling in our bedroom replaced because of water damage.  When you live in a small condo, finding places to put the contents of a whole room can be challenging.  The ceiling is now fixed and we put a fresh coat of paint on the walls and it looks fantastic.

I made similar yoga cookies in August for the teacher training graduation at my yoga studio.  Another class just graduated a few weekends ago and I made more cookies for it.  I was really pleased with how the previous cookies turned out, so I deiced not to change much at all.  I recently became the proud owner of a new airbrush machine.   I wanted to give it a try, so I thought making the rainbow yogis would be a fun.  I piped and flooded all the cookies with white icing.  I allowed them to dry for 24 hours.  Then I took my airbrush machine and sprayed on the rainbow.  I started with yellow, spraying in the middle of the cookies.  Then I continued with the orange and red.  I did not clean in between the different colors because I was trying to achieve a blended look.  Once I finished with the red, I cleaned out the machine and moved to green, blue and purple.  Again I did not clean between colors.  I let the airbrushing dry for few hours.  Then I piped on the henna design with piping constancy icing.

Congratulation to all the new yoga teacher graduates!
