Mystery Shape Monday
Today is the last day of November, so I can still squeeze in a few more fall cookies. This week I made gourds. In the fall you can find all kinds of gourds from the kind you eat, to ones for decorations.
I didn't have plan on how to decorate this cookie. I started piping gourd shapes and then added other fall accents like berries, leaves, and wheat. All the icing colors were leftovers from previous projects I've had in the last few weeks.
If you haven't figured it out this is the cutter I used. I can't tell you where it's from because I picked it up at the cookie cutter exchange at Cookie Con. I'm sure you could use any ghost to achieve a similar look.
I made these pumpkin cookies for Thanksgiving. I used this damask stencil to create the pattern sections of the pumpkin. I used fondant and this mold to make the roses.
