I LOVE football and the Superbowl.  When I lived in Minnesota, my family and I had a Superbowl party every year.  I've been making Superbowl cookies for a few years now.  Check out some of my previous year over on my Flickr.  Most years I really don't care who wins the game, I just enjoy watching it.  This year is different.  It pained me dearly to waste my time making Patriot cookies.  I've NEVER been a fan of the Patriots, especially Tom Brady.  I'll just leave it at that.  I only made Patriot cookies because I'm somewhat superstitious.  In 2012 I only made Notre Dame cookies when they were in the National Championship game and it only ended in heartache.  Now I make sure both teams are represented even if I don't like them.

I made some different cookies this year because I didn't want to make the same thing as last year since the Seahawks are in the Superbowl again.  The stadium cookies came from this tutorial, and the football players from here.  I tried something new with the football cookies this time.  I used this stencil to airbrush the cookie before adding the other details.
