I figure it's still February, so I can still post Valentine's cookies.  Growing up I loved koalas, or pretty much any kind of bear.  I loved how they carried their babies around in their pouch.  When I was fourteen year old, I was blessed enough to visit Australia.  Koalas are marsupials native to Australia.  Prior to my trip, I had never seen one in person, and I got the chance to hold one!  It was something I will never forget.

I first made some Valentine's koalas a few years back.  Check them out here.  This cookie cutter can be purchased here.   I didn't do anything special to decorate him.  I iced the white of his ears first and followed that with the grey.  The next day I added his face and white stomach.  The heart he is holding by Wilton's, made special for Target.  I couldn't find them on the internet.  If you check the clearance Valentine's Day items at Target, you might still find some.  Otherwise try cake supply stores online or Esty.
