Unicorn Project - Goodbye

This is the end my friends, the last day of the unicorn project.  I really could go on making unicorns forever, but I'm sure that everyone would like to see some different cookies.  I had tons of fun making all these unicorns.

For today's unicorn I used my new Meri Meri cutter.  I decorated it following the picture that come with the cutter.  I piped and flooded the cookie white.  While the icing was still wet, I made the two smaller stars and added a pink dot for the cheek.  I piped and flooded the tail section with light yellow icing.  Once the body was dry, I piped on a larger blue star, the eye and lines of the horn.  Finally I added the blue hooves.

My sister gave me this rectangle cutter for my birthday, and I couldn't wait to use it. I piped and flooded all the cookies with white icing.  On two of the cookies I place a rainbow sugar.  The rainbows are no longer available from where I purchased them, but these ones are super cute.   I made my own unicorn stencil and used light pink icing to create the unicorns.  I outlined the cookies too.  On the other cookies I used a food coloring marker to write the word unicorn, then I piped over it.

This nonpareil unicorn was my back up cookie.  I made it back at the beginning of this project, just in case I fell behind and was not able to complete a set of the unicorns by the set date.  As you can see by my posting it today I never fell behind and I'm very proud of that.  This project took a lot of planning and time so I'm very happy that I successfully completed it.  Leave me a comment and let me know what your favorite unicorn was.

This weekend I made some going away cookies for a party.  I used this Arizona cutter and this Nevada cutter.  I used a pretty simple design.  I waited until today to post the cookies so that the goodbye title would be fitting for the end of the unicorns and these cookies.
