Unicorn Project - Pixel

In graphic design and photography I deal with pixels all the time.  A pixel is the smallest controllable element of a picture.  A pixel reminds me of making cookies, starting out as just dough and each small step leading to beautiful cookie in the end.  Together they make a beautiful image.  Pixels are popular with the new movie coming out.  I knew that it would be fun to try to create a unicorn cookie in pixel form.

When I started searching the internet I found this image and knew it was the one.  I purchased the image from Shuttertock.  I brought the unicorn images into Photoshop and enlarged it and printed it out.  I used this print out to cut on the cookies.

To decorate the cookies I started off by drawing on with the mane and tail would be with a food coloring marker.  Then I piped and flooded the body with the lighter purple icing.  Once the body was dry I added all the dark purple areas.  The final part was adding the yellow horn.
