I think that mistletoe is such a cute holiday tradition. We always had some fake mistletoe hanging in my home growing up. The tradition of hanging it in the house goes back to the times of the ancient Druids. The custom of kissing under Mistletoe comes from England. The original custom was a berry picked from the sprig of Mistletoe. You could only have a kiss if you got a berry from the sprig. Once all the berries were gone, there was no more kissing. What, no more kissing?
I used this shape for my Silhouette to create the cookie. I piped and flooded the green area first. When it was still wet, I added the dark green accent lines. I allowed that to dry for a few hours then added the bow. I piped and flooded the lighter red first then added the darker red. The final touch was piping on the light gray berries. I'm not very good at piping circles; I wish the berries could have been more of circular.
Make sure you give someone a holiday kiss today!
