Happy Cinco De Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is one of my favorite holidays!  I just love the colors and fun patterns.  Not to mention I love the food!  I started with some common Mexican symbols.  I think most people I know have tried to break open a pinata, have had a spicy jalapeno pepper, and have worn a sombrero. I picked up the pinata cookie cutter here.   Some of the less known symbols are the pink and blue Papel Picado Banner in the upper corners.  I used a large rectangle cut in half with a scalloped cutter.

For a long time I have wanted a Mexican Embroidered Floral Dress since my honeymoon in 2009.  I was going to shop for one in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.  However Hurricane Jimena had other plans.  We were forced to stay in our room for a few days as she blew past.

I just recently scored a dress at a Clothing-Swap party with my Yoga lady friends!  I made sure to sport it today.  I used this cookie cutter make the colorful dresses.

Kyle's favorite non-micro brew is Corona.  He loves the light, crisp and refreshing taste.  It's not summer until you have a corona in your hand! I used this beer bottle cutter.  I added some lime cookies since limes make Coronas taste even better!  For the limes in the beer bottles I hand cut them and added them on before baking.   You can't celebrate Cinco De Mayo with out a margarita or a combination of the two a beer-garita.  I used this margarita glass cutter.
