Unicorn Project - Silhouette

I tried to keep many of the designs for this project simple so that I could complete them quickly and move on to the next cookie.  Silhouettes using a dark shape and outline of something visible against a lighter background, is a simple way to create dynamic cookies.  Some of my favorite silhouette cookies that I made are these recent flamingos and these Halloween cameos.

To create these cookies, I used the second largest cookie cutter from this set of cutters.   I piped and flooded the cookie with white icing.  I used a cut out from my Silhouette America library and I used this design.  I've use many designs from Silhouette America in the past and they work great.  I cut out the design and then traced just the head portion of the cut out on the cookie with food coloring marker.  I piped and flooded over my tracing with purple icing.  Then the final touch was piping a border around the cookie with yellow icing.  When the yellow icing was dry, I painted it gold.
