Happy Easter Everyone! It's been a long time since I shared cookies on here. I’ve been busy making tons of cookies. If you want to see what I've been up to, head over to my Instagram page.
Spring is finally here and that means Easter. My mom and dad are visiting from Minnesota so I was able to celebrate with my family this year. These cookies, along with a lamb cake I made, were dessert for Easter brunch. The cookies turned out better then the cake. I need to work on my cake decorating skills.
A friend requested that I make some Peter Rabbit cookies and I was able to squeeze these in. I didn't remember much from the Peter Rabbit story, so I purchased the book. The story is pretty short but by the end I had tons of visual items I could turn into cookies. The Peter Rabbit cookie I hand-cut. All the other cookies came from cutters I had on hand. I iced all of the cookies with white icing and painted them with food coloring.
The same friend that requested I make Peter Rabbit cookies told me I should start doing more creative things with the photographs of my cookies. Most of the time I'm lucky to squeeze in a photography before I have to deliver the cookies. The Peter Rabbit cookies gave me some time to play because I made them for fun. I just finished a video production class at ASU, so I tried my hand at making a little stop motion video using the Peter Rabbit cookies. It was really fun to do! I learned a few things and hope I can make some more in the future.
