Unicorn Project - Mobile

I love my phone!  But I hate that everything for smartphones these days is iPhone related.  About three months ago I found this awesome phone case.  Of course it was only for an iPhone so I didn't purchase it.  I thought of this phone case right away for this project because the unicorn is facing forward.  All of the unicorns I've made so far have either been from the profile.

To makes these cookies I had to combine two cookie cutters together.  I used this giraffe head cookie cutter and cut off the ossicones of the giraffe.  I cut out a head of the largest unicorn cutter I have and cut off just the horn.  I attached the two parts pre-baked and also turned the ears more upward (see below).

I took a food coloring marker and drew in the muzzle section and piped and flooded it with grey icing.  While the grey icing was still wet, I piped on the white nostrils.  I piped and flooded the remainder of the face and the neck with white icing.  I added pink to the ear while the white icing was still wet.  For the horn I divided it into four sections filling in alternating sections so it would create dimension.  To finish the unicorn off, I piped in the hair and eyes.  To replicate the eyes of the phone case, the outer circle was drawn on with food coloring marker.
