Mailing out Christmas cards is one of my favorite things to do. We've done a photo Christmas card for the last three years. This year we used one of the photos from our 5-year anniversary shoot. I scanned in our Christmas card so you can see the design we choose this year.
To make this letter cookies, I used this cookie cutter. I piped and flooded it with white icing and allowed it to dry overnight. The next day I made the stripes. I took this stencil and lined it up with the edge of the cookie. I used red and blue food coloring marker to color every other line. To create the address, I used a small alphabet stamp set. It was Studio G brand from the dollar section at Joann Fabric's. I used watered down black food coloring to stamp the letters. I've found that using a paint brush to apply the food coloring to stamp works best. This way not too much food coloring gets on the stamp and you get a cleaner stamp. I used the same watered down food coloring to paint on the postmark. I ended up going with a North Pole postmark because it felt more festive. It's just a cookie after all.
