Fall always arrives late in Arizona but I'll take it if it means the winters are warmer. The odd-looking tree outside out home is half green and half red. I made these cookies for a holiday bazaar our church had a few weeks ago, that I make cookies for each year. It's the season of giving and the cookies are my small contribution.
For the leaves I used a very simple wet-on-wet marbling technique. I iced the cookie with one color and while the icing was still wet, I added another color. I swirled the colors around with my scribe tool. Once the icing was dry, I splattered it with color. The Fall banners came from this set here.
For the hounds-tooth and polka-dot pumpkins, the cutters are from Wisked Away Cutter and the confetti pumpkin is a Wilton's cutter. All of the stencils I used were from The Cookie Countess. Looks like all the cookie sites are ramping up for Black Friday and their websites are down. Sorry, that is why I didn't link to these items.
