Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone was able to spend some time with the people they love. I was with my husband and my dogs. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. The weather here was abosolutly beautiful with sunny skies and 75°. These are some of the Thanksgiving cookies I made for some returning customers. I wanted to incorporate the teal color because it’s not part of the traditional color palette.
These cookies were part my McGooU homework. Each month Arty McGoo gives us homework with cookies that we’re suppose to work on. This month I made some Indian corn, cornucopias and leaf stencils. I enjoyed making the cornucopia cookies because it was a different take on them. I already have a dedicated cornucopia cutter but I struggle with how to decorate the inside of it.
I made these cookies for a customer that is going to the UCLA vs. Cal game at the rose bowl. I made the California state cookies a few years ago and my customer loved them. She’s going to be bringing these to her tailgating party.
I made these cookies because I love the sayings. It’s important for me to enjoy the holidays and have a sense of humor. I tried something new this year by ordering Thanksgiving ice cream flavors from Salt & Straw. I really loved their Sweet Potato and Apple Cranberry Stuffing flavors! The buttered mashed potatoes were a little too literal for me.
